The roots and aerial parts of the passiflora species (passion fruit) are widely used in traditional medicine, due to their anxiolytic, sedative, diuretic, analgesic and antimicrobial properties. Some of the benefits of passion fruit oil: -The seeds show cytotoxic and antioxidant activity, thanks to their high content of carotenoids, polyphenols and tocopherols. -Passion fruit oil is an extremely moisturizing agent and therefore commonly used in many cosmetic preparations. -Research also proves its hypolipidemic action, which is attributed to the high concentration of linoleic acid.
