Spearmint essential oil, closely related to peppermint, is widely used in aromatherapy and in cases of respiratory disorders, such as sinusitis or bronchitis. Spearmint essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the Mentha spicata plant via steam distillation.

To ease respiration and feel relief, put 6-10 drops of essential oil onto a tissue and take deep breaths. To promote the proper function of the digestive system, add 6-8 drops of essential oil to warm water and relax in the bathtub for at least 10 minutes. Alternatively, add 15 drops of essential oil to 50 ml of the carrier oil of your choice and massage gently your entire body. To uplift the spirit and eliminate mental fatigue, add 6-10 drops of essential oil to the diffuser.
  • Spearmint essential oil can irritate the skin.
  • Always use the lowest estimated dose of essential oil.
  • Do not use undiluted.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with the eyes rinse with plenty of water.
